As my front page story is going to be about local lottery winners I am looking at how other newspapers have reported on this type of story. I will be looking at how national newspapers and local newspapers report on lottery winners.The two different stories both report on lottery winners, the main difference between the two stories is that the local story, from The Bath Chronicle, has written more about the story and even has an interview with the winners. The Guardian story is a shorter article and gives an outline of what has happened to the winning couple and also gives lottery statistics. Both articles have included an image, in The Guardian the image shows the winning couple opening a champagne bottle in celebration and in The Bath Chronicle the image is not of the winning couple but of the Euro millions lottery ticket. This shows that the couple written about in the local newspaper did not want to be photographed whereas the couple in the national paper clearly did want to be featured in the paper.
